Light drawing is a one hundred & fifty year old process of placing nature specimens on treated paper in the sun to develop a ‘ghost’ image.
These are all one of a kind, as it is impossible to recreate the chemical reaction that occurs between sunlight+ the paper + the specimen.
Rinne started making these with her mom in her garden. All of the specimens used are grown by the two of them. They are made on heavy-weight archival watercolor paper.

Rinne tends a large garden with her husband lee in downtown Athens. Most of her photographs are made here. If not, they probably were made in her mother's garden. They all grow the plants themselves- some for food, some for beauty. Rinne gets great inspiration, satisfaction and peace from photographing things she grew, or that her husband grew, or that her mom grew.
